Happy Easter

Christmas and Easter---two chapters of the same book.

Without Christmas , there wouldn't be a EASTER. And without the resurrection, this day would be just another day.

Christmas and Easter are the most joyful celebrations of the year for the Christian. In the first, we celebrate the incarnation. In the second we celebrate Jesus resurrection. "HE IS NOT HERE, BUT HE IS RISEN!"

Which is the most important? Both are essential-and both are clear evidence of the Father's love for us. Have a Blessed Easter.

The weather is beautiful. They do predict rain for Fri. and Sat., but back in the near 80's for Sunday. Rich is putting new spark plugs on the mower and sharpening the blades- so all is well.

Bells On Plam Sunday

On that first Palm Sunday, Jesus the KING entered Jerusalem on a lowly donkey. Before He could come as a King to reign, He had to come as a Savior to die. Throughout HIs life on earth, Jesus was a man of striking contrast----reflecting both His genuine humanity and His full deity.

Jesus, Who is the Bread of Life began His ministry hungering. He who is the
Water of Life ended His ministry thirsting. Christ hungered as a man, yet feed the the hungry as God. He was weary, yet He is our rest. He paid tribute, yet He is the KIng. He was called a devil, but He cast out demons. He prayed, yet He heard prayer. He wept, and He dries our tears. He was sold for 30 pieces of silver, yet He redeems sinners. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, yet He is the Good Shepherd. He gave HIS Life, and by dying He destroyed death. " ALLELUIA WHAT A SAVIOR."

On this lovely Sabbath morning
While the church bells sweetly ring,
There's a message in their chiming:
They proclaim to us a KING.

They are telling of the SAVIOR
As He braved that throng-packed street.
Of the psalm bough gladly offered--
Carpet for small donkey feet.

Now the church bells mount in volume
That the whole wide world may hear
Of that wondrous coronation--
Each Hosanna--every Cheer!

That Time Again!

Tomorrow is officially spring----but the weathermen do not talk that way. COLD_SNOW_NASTY! I found a poem in one of moms OLD Ideal Magazines which I thought was worth sharing.

THAT TIME AGAIN!

Lift up your hearts men, rejoice and sing,
At last we've come to the first day of spring.

Bid fond farewell to the ice and snow,
Get out the lawn mower, rake and hoe.

Old man winter has gone on his way,
And spring, we hope, is here to stay.

The first spring flowers have burst forth,
The wild geese are winging their way to the north.

The lark and the bluebird sing out their praise,
For this wonderful spring and the warm sunny days.

Clean up the yard and pick up the trash,
Get out the ladder and remove the sash.

Wash all the windows, the back and front doors,
Clean off the walks and scrub the porch floors.

Remember the early bird catches the worm,
So let's get it done before the next storm!


Not a very eventful week-all about the same. Took Pugsley to see Dad. He loved that. Stayed about an hour. He is getting therapy on his legs to see if they can be strengthened at all. Hard for him to walk too far and to get up.

Just remember---

The longer we live, the more that we know,
Old age is the time for wisdom too show.
Who knows how much good some word we might say,
Could do for that one who's wondered away?

Save Electricity

YES- Tomorrow the clock jumps ahead 1 hour and we are suppose to be saving money by using less electricity because of it.

I had a naughty dog today. Kelsey stayed over night last night. She had to work and then be at some school event in Springdale early this morning-so she came here--took a shower - and left on time. That #$%^&*I()_dog ran out when she was carrying her arm full to the car and ran across the street. I was still in my house coat and slipper-but ran (walked) after him. Of course he would not listen to me. The neighbors (Birch) were just leaving to go to the horse races at Hot Springs- they saw it all -got out of there car and help me for (about 15 mins). Finally one kid got him-but not by the leash) Pugsly kept running-made him trip-(he didn't get dirty tho) they leashed him --and I got him home safely. Was I mad? YES!!! I put him out side the rest of the day and feed him tonight after I came home from dad. I had been home earlier--but disregarded that #$%^&*() dog. He's free if any one wants him.

Cindy and Sarah took me bowling this week. I didn't do well, (needless to say). Cindy beat me by 1 point and Sarah came in third by 4 points (if that tells you any thing. It was fun tho. Used an 8 lb. ball and yet each time it sounded like it was going to come through the floor. Went home and bowled a 220 on the computer-so will just stick to that.Sure had a good time tho.

It is nasty out this week--blaw--damp--windy--low 40's--gray and what else can I say. Flowers are beginning to bloom and this next Sat. is SPRING.

All in all dad's week has not been good. Came there one day and he had his underwear and after shave packed in his sq. Kleenex box. There were still Kleenex in it--how he did that-I do not know. --- Another time he wasn't going to work that day. He was tired and was going to sleep.---Then once he had his walker seat just packed to the gills with--magazine, Bible, groom and clean-pre shave-comb-ppj's--razor-charger T shirt-towel-you name it--it was in there. He wasn't asking to go home-just keeping everything neat and clean. Charlie at his table is loosing his eye site and he feels so bad for him-but Dan is in his condition (Says foolish things and does silly things (if his wife isn't there) and dad thinks he is so dumb. And so the days go.

Don't forget--"GOD IS SO GREAT".

No coat weather

Just have to make the most of it---but the weather man out did itself this week. We are already in the no coat weather and those young wipper snappers are all running around in shorts. Yes I said shorts!!!!

They are predicting the possiblity of some rain Mon. and Tues. --but we are not anticipating floods lke N.D. and Ia. are already making plans for.

SJ had a good week with it's ups and downs- but that is to be expected like it has been for some time already. I took him outdoors one day, but the wind was too strong for him. I took him to church this morning. We had communion with real wine. He enjoyed doing that very much. I ate Sat. noon lunch with him. He can't understand why I don't eat all my meals with him. (They do get good food and generally lots of it. ) He seldom eats it all. Took Pugsly to see him on Tues. (Pugsly was a good boy this time). One day a group sang and played western music. He really liked that. Another day a band from the Beaver Lake area came, and he enjoyed that also. He went to exercises one day and DID NOT LIKE THAT. He sat in Angelo's place at the table one morning and Angelo was not happy about that and had the nurses move him. He talked about that for about 3 days. And so the week went.

Spring is coming --only 13 more days. Don't forget-- daylight saving times begins the 14th. Razorbacks lost again --so that is the end of their season.
